Prime Day is back, running from now until Friday, and it’s a particularly tempting time if you’ve had your eye on a foldable.
This year’s discounts aren’t just about shaving a few quid off last year’s tech; they actually make a strong case to upgrade, whether you want a book-style powerhouse or something more compact and pocketable.
I’ve trawled through the offers and picked out the foldable phones that don’t just look good on paper, but that I actually rate based on my personal experience using them.
Snag almost £400 off the fantastic Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
When it comes to sheer swagger and style, there’s no better-looking foldable than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. In fact, it won the Phone of the Year award at the 2025 Trusted Reviews awards.
The Fold 7 is the first generation of Samsung’s book-style foldable to feel like it really nailed the experience in practically every area. It’s among the thinnest foldables around at 8.9mm folded and 4.2mm unfolded, but the bigger deal is the weight; at 215g, it’s the lightest foldable of its kind and actually lighter than bar-style phones like the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Oppo Find X9 Pro.
I also love the flat-edged, pointed-corner styling of the foldable, giving it a very different look from the competition, which pretty much all use rounded corners in their hardware.
It also fixes major complaints about previous Galaxy foldables – including a wider cover screen that’s way easier to type on, and a big reduction in the interior crease – and, during Prime Day, it’s available for just £1,429 – a not-insignificant discount of £379 compared to its usual £1,799 RRP. An easy recommendation from me, indeed.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is 30% off
If you like the idea of a book-style foldable but aren’t a big fan of the One UI spin on Android that Samsung employs, look no further than the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold – it doesn’t get more stock Android than this.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold takes a much cleaner and smarter approach to Android than most of the competition, complete with a few Pixel-exclusive features, be it the more responsive Material 3 Expressive UI or the plethora of AI-powered features. While most phones have some kind of AI smarts these days, I’m of the opinion that Google’s Pixel range leads the crowd on those that are genuinely helpful, rather than being a gimmick.
And, it’s already running Android 17, having got the update last week – you won’t see Android 17 on any other phones, foldable or otherwise, for a month or two yet.
It’s also one of the most robust foldables around, offering full IP68 protection, giving you added peace of mind when using the foldable at the beach or near a pool.
And, with a 30% discount during Prime Day bringing the 512GB model down to just £1,299 from its £1,869 RRP, it’s well worth considering.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 is very tempting at under £750
What if you don’t fancy a big, book-style foldable? Well, Samsung’s more compact Galaxy Z Flip 7 is another stellar option – especially when a Prime Day deal brings the 256GB model in its fantastic Blue Shadow finish down to just £749. That’s a saving of £300 compared to its £1049 RRP.
Like its book-style sibling, the Flip 7 is another looker with a big 4.1-inch cover screen that spans the entire outer panel, making it much easier to interact with notifications, glance at widgets, and double as a viewfinder for higher-res selfies, while the inner 6.9-inch foldable panel offers a more traditional smartphone experience – all without the size of a regular phone.
Camera quality is another highlight of the experience, particularly shots from the upgraded main 50MP snapper. While not quite as powerful as those on bar-style phones, it delivers crisp, detailed shots that look way more colour-accurate and less heavily saturated than most Samsung phones – and that in itself is a massive win.
So if you’re after a flagship phone experience that folds down to something that’ll easily fit into the palm of your hand, the discounted Z Flip 7 is an easy recommendation from me.
