Lenovo is back into the smartphone-making game with the Legion Y70 (2026). The Chinese brand hasn’t released a phone under its own name since the Y90 in 2022.

We knew most, if not all, about the Legion Y70 from the various teasers leading up to this announcement. It’s a gaming phone with solid specs and a bonkers 8,000mAh battery with 90W charging and bypass charging capabilities.

The Legion Y70 packs the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (the non-Elite) SoC with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, running at up to 9,600Mbps. There’s 256GB of UFS 4.1-speed storage.

Cooling is handled by a 5,500mm2 vapor chamber, which can drop the CPU core temp by 7°C.

The battery numbers are impressive. The Legion Y70 packs an 8,000mAh battery with 90W charging with support for bypass charging. Lenovo claims you’ll get two days of use out of the power pack and that it will be efficient for 7 years or 1,200 cycles.

The 6.8-inch OLED upfront is a 144Hz unit with 7,000 nits of peak brightness and Dolby Vision support.

Camera-wise, you’re getting a 50MP 1/1.56-inch wide-angle with an f/1.8 lens, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide that can focus as close as 2.5cm, and a 32MP selfie upfront.
