The iQOO 15 launched last October, and the brand is now already busy working on its successor, which unsurprisingly will be called iQOO 16. The name is now confirmed courtesy of the GSM Association’s IMEI database, which lists the device alongside its model number, I2601.

It’s unclear exactly when the iQOO 16 will make its debut, but since it should be using Qualcomm’s next top of the line chipset, it will have to launch after that becomes official. September at the earliest, we assume.
Rumor has it the iQOO 16 will be launching in China as well as India and other international markets. According to past leaks, iQOO aims to ship the 16 with a 9,000 mAh battery. The phone will unfortunately be more expensive than its predecessor, expected to start at CNY 5,000 ($734) in China with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The iQOO 15 launched at CNY 4,100 ($602).
