Spotify has added the ability to create, save, and share clips from podcast episodes on its mobile apps.
Users can spot a new clip icon on the podcast playback screen, which will take them to the new UI. Here, you will be able to trim a specific portion of the episode, and then save it to your library. These saved clips can then be shared from within the Spotify app using the built-in messaging feature with other Spotify users, or over other platforms.
The Clips feature is rolling out globally to free and premium users only on the mobile app for select podcasts for now, with availability expected to expand over time to other shows.
