Spotify and Peloton are teaming up to improve your workouts

Spotify is making a bigger push into fitness, teaming up with Peloton to bring guided workouts and curated training content directly into the app.

The big new addition is the introduction of a new Fitness hub in Spotify, allowing Premium subscribers access to more than 1,400 classes without needing to own any Peloton equipment.

Instead of just relying on workout playlists, Spotify is now blending audio, video and structured sessions in one place. The new hub includes everything from outdoor runs and strength training to yoga and meditation. In addition, it features content from well-known fitness creators like Yoga with Kassandra, Chloe Ting and Sweaty Studio.

The Peloton partnership is doing most of the heavy lifting here. Spotify Premium users can tap into Peloton’s existing library of classes, turning the app into something closer to a lightweight fitness platform rather than just a music companion for workouts. Importantly, these sessions don’t require a Peloton bike or treadmill; they’re designed to work anywhere.

Spotify is also leaning into its multi-device ecosystem. You can start a video workout on your TV, switch to audio on your phone mid-run, and then move to a cooldown session on a smart speaker without losing your place. It’s a small detail, but it should make the experience feel more cohesive than juggling separate fitness and music apps.

Of course, this also means Spotify is becoming even more crowded. The app already houses music, podcasts, audiobooks and video, and adding a full fitness hub risks making navigation more cluttered. Still, the company clearly sees workouts as a natural extension of how people already use Spotify, especially with exercise playlists being one of its most popular use cases.

The rollout is starting in select markets, with most workouts available in English, alongside some Spanish and German options.

It’s not quite a full Peloton replacement. However, for Spotify users, it could be a surprisingly convenient upgrade, especially if you’d rather not download yet another fitness app.
