According to a new rumor, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold8 lineup could launch with higher price tags than its predecessors. The company is expected to unveil its next-generation foldables next month.

Citing European and Asian sales channels, the leak claims Samsung has increased the starting prices of the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8.

The leak attributes the price hike to a combination of internal and external factors. Although the leak doesn’t mention it, the increase in price is likely due to the ongoing rise in RAM and other component costs.

It also claims that the manufacturing cost of the upcoming foldables has increased, although the exact amount is still being finalized. A recent report from May also hinted that Samsung will raise prices on some of its phones in Europe.

A recent report suggested that Apple is also considering higher prices for its upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup amid rising costs of RAM and storage chips.
