Oppo launched the Watch X3 in China last month, and now it’s unveiled the Watch X3 Mini to go along with it. As the name implies, this is smaller, and it probably won’t surprise you to see that its design seems to be more blingy since that’s usually what smartwatch makers assume will appeal more to women. We’re not sure if that’s true or not, but given the smaller size, that alone might make this a much better option for women than the 47mm Watch X3.

The Watch X3 Mini has a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen with 466×466 resolution, 1,000-nit peak brightness, and a sapphire crystal on top. The watch measures 43.2 x 43.2 x 11.18 mm and weighs 40.4g without the strap and 58g or 60.6g with the strap, depending on which one you choose.

There’s a 354 mAh battery keeping the lights on, and Oppo says it will last up to 2.5 days in the full smart mode, 1.5 days with the always-on display turned on, and a full week in power saving mode. At the helm sits the Snapdragon Wear W5 SoC, and the watch supports eSIM, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, as well as single-band GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS.

Sensor-wise you get an accelerometer, a gyro, a geomagnetic sensor, a barometer, an optical heart rate monitor and pulse oximeter, a wrist temperature sensor, and an ambient light sensor. There are over 100 built-in sports modes, an AI sports coach, and the watch is rated 5ATM and IP68 for dust and water resistance.

The Oppo Watch X3 Mini is offered in gold, silver, and brown and is already listed on the company’s website for pre-order, starting at CNY 1,799 ($263) without eSIM and CNY 1,999 ($293) with eSIM. It’s unclear when or if this device will be launching internationally, but the OnePlus Watch 4 was just unveiled today as a rebranded Oppo Watch X3, so perhaps there’s a OnePlus Watch 4 Mini in our future? Time will tell.
