OnePlus has given us our first look at the OnePlus N6, the debut device in the company’s brand-new smartphone lineup.

The handset is set to launch in India on June 30. While OnePlus is keeping most of the details under wraps for now, the first teaser image offers a few clues about what to expect.

The teaser reveals a design that looks familiar to recent OnePlus devices. The N6 features a square rear camera module that bears more than a passing resemblance to the Nord CE6. Meanwhile, the handset itself appears to sport a flat display. OnePlus has also shown the phone in black and green colour options, suggesting the company is aiming for a youthful, contemporary look.

Beyond the design, OnePlus hasn’t shared any official specifications yet. However, the launch is notable because it marks the beginning of an entirely new smartphone series for the brand.

According to OnePlus India, the lineup has been “designed for India’s young and next generation”. This could indicate that the N series is being developed specifically for the Indian market. Although the company has yet to confirm whether it will launch elsewhere, there is speculation about its release in other countries.

While official details remain scarce, previous leaks suggest the N series could focus on the budget and mid-range segments. Reports have claimed some models in the lineup could be priced below INR 20,000 (around $211 / £155). This could potentially position them as affordable alternatives to OnePlus’ flagship and Nord devices.

That would make the N6 an interesting addition to the company’s growing smartphone portfolio. OnePlus has spent the past few years expanding beyond premium handsets, with devices such as the Nord CE series helping it reach more price-conscious buyers. A dedicated budget-focused lineup could push that strategy even further.

For now, the N6 remains something of a mystery. OnePlus has confirmed the June 30 launch date, but specifications, pricing and availability are still under wraps. With the unveiling now just around the corner, it likely won’t be long before we find out exactly where the N series fits into the company’s increasingly crowded smartphone range.
