Microsoft updated four of its laptops today – the Surface Pro 13, the Surface Laptop 13-inch, Surface Laptop 13.8-inch and Surface Laptop 15-inch. The new devices run on the recently released Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips, but Snapdragon X2-powered versions are expected later this year.

Starting with the most important updates – the Surface Laptop 13.8 and 15-inch. They now come with new display options, some of which include a privacy screen feature similar to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s.

The 15-inch model gets a higher resolution, but it’s still LCD. OLED versions are expected to hit the market in the following months.

Another notable upgrade to the 13.8-inch and 15-inch Surface Laptop models is the new trackpad. It now supports Windows 11’s haptic feedback features. You get subtle feedback when interacting with certain UI elements on the screen, such as snapping an app window or aligning objects.

The mid-range Surface Laptop 13-inch isn’t left out. It’s also shipping with the new Intel chips and is now offered with an anti-reflective display. This variant comes at a higher price of $1,499, but a lower-cost version with 8GB of RAM and without Copilot+ capabilities is in the pipeline. It will be priced at $1,299.

The Surface Pro 13-inch, on the other hand, receives a modest spec bump with the new Core Ultra chips. That means you won’t be getting the new touchpad that the Surface Laptops have now.

The flagship Surface Pro and the Surface Laptops start at $1,949 with Intel Core Ultra 5 chips and 16GB RAM. Microsoft justifies the price hikes with rising component prices.

Keep in mind that those are the variants for business users, while the commercial iterations will likely come alongside the OLED variants later this summer.
