Introduction and specs

The Honor 500 series missed the international market last year and remained a China-exclusive duo, but Honor is making the 600 series international once again. The Honor 600 Pro is, of course, positioned as a flagship killer, or sub-flagship phone if you wish, while the vanilla Honor 600, which is the subject of this review, is strictly within the mid-range bracket.

Still, the Honor 600 surprises with some flagship-grade features and hardware. Starting with the display, which uses a 6.57-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and absurdly high maximum brightness.

The phone also uses a big, 200MP sensor for its main camera, joined by a 12MP ultrawide unit and a 50MP selfie shooter. Notably, the 600 Pro has the same camera setup, but adds a 50MP telephoto camera into the mix.

Honor 600 specs at a glance:

  • Body: 156.0×74.7×7.8mm, 185g; Glass front, aluminum frame; IP68/IP69K dust tight and water resistant (high pressure water jets; immersible up to 1.5m for 30 min).
  • Display: 6.57″ AMOLED, 1B colors, 120Hz, 3840Hz PWM, HDR Vivid, 8000 nits (peak), 1264x2728px resolution, 19.42:9 aspect ratio, 458ppi.
  • Chipset: Qualcomm SM7750-AB Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (4 nm): Octa-core (1×2.8 GHz Cortex-720 & 4×2.4 GHz Cortex-720 & 3×1.8 GHz Cortex-520); Adreno 722.
  • Memory: 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 8GB RAM, 512GB 12GB RAM.
  • OS/Software: Android 16, up to 6 major Android upgrades, MagicOS 10.
  • Rear camera: Wide (main): 200 MP, f/1.9, 1/1.4″, 0.56µm, PDAF, OIS; Ultra wide angle: 12 MP, f/2.2, 112˚, AF.
  • Front camera: 50 MP, f/2.0, (wide).
  • Video capture: Rear camera: 4K, 1080p, gyro-EIS, OIS; Front camera: 4K, 1080p, gyro-EIS.
  • Battery: 7000mAh; 80W wired, 27W reverse wired.
  • Connectivity: 5G; eSIM; Wi-Fi 7; BT 5.4, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, LHDC 5; NFC; Infrared port.
  • Misc: Fingerprint reader (under display, optical); stereo speakers.

The whole system is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, which is a typical mid-range silicon. Unfortunately, the device is offered in an 8GB/128GB memory configuration, which is a bit low for 2026.

You can expect solid battery life out of the Honor 600, too, even if you get the European model with reduced capacity of 6,400 mAh. Outside of the EU, you will find the model with a 7,000-mAh cell. Regardless of the variant you end up with, you will also be getting 80W fast wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging. That’s quite snappy.

As always, the phone isn’t just a collection of specs, so let’s take a closer look and see how it fits in the competitive mid-range scene.

Unboxing the Honor 600

We got the European variant of the Honor 600, which came without a charger. The battery is slightly smaller here as well – 6400 mAh compared to 7000 mAh on the global models available elsewhere.

The retail box contains only the USB-C to USB-C cable. There’s no protective case provided either, unlike in previous years.

If you want to take full advantage of the fastest possible charging speed, you will have to get an Honor charger rated at 80W or higher.
