If you ever needed help finding something online or just didn’t want to get bogged down in tedious work, the Chrome browser recently gained a tool that can help. Known as auto browse, the feature initially rolled out in preview for desktop in January. Now the tool is coming to the mobile experience as well.

Among the avalanche of Google announcements today, the tech giant also revealed that Chrome auto browse is coming to Android for the first time. If you’re unfamiliar with the feature, it’s an agentic Gemini-powered tool that can browse the web on your behalf. All you have to do is tell Gemini what you want it to do and the AI will take care of the rest. However, you’ll need to retake control of the steering wheel when it comes to certain actions, like making purchases or accessing saved credentials in Google Password Manager.
For example, if you’re heading out to a comedy show and need a parking spot, you can ask the tool to help. Auto browse will then use the event details from your ticket confirmation to find a spot for you.
Chrome auto browse is expected to land on Android at the end of June. Similar to desktop, the feature will only be available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US. You’ll need to be using a device that’s running on Android 12 or higher.
