Aurzen’s Roku TV smart projectors bring SGS-verified true brightness to big-screen streaming

Whether you want a giant screen for movie nights, big-screen sports on the weekends, casual gaming with friends, or something within reach for backyard hangouts, a good projector can handle it all for a fraction of the cost of a similarly sized TV, not to mention the incredible portability benefits.

A lot of affordable projectors come with the hassle of needing you to plug in a streaming stick, USB drive, or laptop to actually watch any content. Some don’t even have built-in interfaces or a proper remote, so many projectors aren’t as plug-and-play ready as a smart TV. That’s a gap Aurzen is filling with the EAZZE D1R and the EAZZE D1R Cube with Roku TV built in, making these smart projectors easy and simple to use. Here’s what you need to know.

While some affordable projectors run Android-based systems that can be clunky and slow and don’t support every streaming app, Aurzen fixed the problem by baking in the full Roku TV experience directly into both projectors.

Your experience won’t be any different from a smart TV with Roku TV built in. Simply point the projector at the wall, connect to the Wi-Fi, and you’re ready to start streaming. You’ll have access to all your favorite apps, like Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, YouTube, and more, all with a simple click of a button.

It’s a feature that’s not often found in projectors at this price range, and this alone is reason enough to get either one of these Aurzen projectors.

Projector brightness numbers can sometimes be a little sketchy, with claimed peak brightness not matching the actual viewing experience. With the D1R and D1R Cube, Aurzen backs up its numbers with independent testing. Both projectors are SGS-certified, meaning the brightness ratings have been verified.

The D1R hits 280 ANSI lumens, while the D1R Cube bumps that up to 300 ANSI lumens, so both projectors are bright enough for a comfortable evening movie session with the lights dimmed, and they’ll handle daytime viewing if you’ve got blackout curtains.

It’s not often you’ll find high-resolution projectors at this price range, and while some might support 1080p input, the actual display resolution itself is usually 480p or 720p. On the other hand, both Aurzen Roku TV projectors support native 1080p.

Fine details look sharper, fast-moving scenes during sports, action movies, and video games look great and without any blur, and there’s no image distortion or smearing to worry about. Depending on your subscription plan, 1080p is the highest resolution you’ll get on many streaming apps, so you’ll see content the way it was meant to be shown.

The Aurzen EAZZE D1R is the model to consider first. It weighs just 3.1lbs, so it’s an excellent portable option that you can easily carry from room to room, set up in the backyard, or even take to a friend’s place. All you have to do is plug it in to enjoy everything Roku TV has to offer.

It throws an image from 60 inches to 200 inches. You also get autofocus, auto-keystone correction, two 5W speakers with Dolby Audio, dual-band Wi-Fi, two-way Bluetooth, and a noise level under 40dB.

The Aurzen EAZZE D1R is normally priced at $199.99 but has now dropped to just $129.99. It’s ideal for renters, students, or simply anyone looking for excellent value from their projector purchase.

If you’re looking for a little more power, the D1R Cube bumps brightness up to 300 ANSI lumens, runs a touch quieter at under 35 dB, and includes a sealed optical engine to keep dust out and maintain consistent image quality over time.

It throws a slightly smaller maximum image (40 to 150 inches), but the picture is brighter and cleaner overall. The Cube is also bigger and bulkier than the D1R, making it the better choice for fixed setups.

The Cube normally costs $249.99 but is now available for $189.99. If you’re planning to actually replace your TV with a projector in your main living room, this is the one to grab.

Aurzen is also teasing the next model in the lineup, which the brand is calling the world’s first truly portable Roku TV smart projector. Details are still under wraps, but portability will be a big selling point here. Aurzen will unveil the EAZZE D1R Air on May 27.

For now, if you’ve been waiting for a projector that just works and gives you quick access to everything you need, the Aurzen Roku TV lineup is worth a serious look, especially with the massive discounts that are currently available.
