As part of its Computex 2026 announcements, Acer is unveiling a new gaming handheld, the Predator Atlas 8 (PA08-I51). This Windows-based gaming handheld is powered by Intel’s new Arc G-series processors and features dual active-fan cooling for hours of gaming.
The Acer Predator Atlas 8 features an 8-inch 16:10 WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate (supporting Variable Refresh Rate), 500 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection and Gorilla Glass DXC for glare reduction. There’s DTS:X Ultra audio on board through dual 2W speakers, and Acer is also equipping AI-assisted noise reduction to help the dual microphones pick up your voice clearly for chats.
For the processor, you can choose between the Intel Arc G3 with Intel Arc B370 graphics on board or the Intel Arc G3 Extreme with Intel Arc B390 graphics. RAM goes up to 24GB LPDDR5X (7,467 MT/s), while storage reaches 1TB via one PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD slot. Battery choices are either 60Wh or 80Wh.
On the Acer Predator Atlas 8, you will get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a UHS-II microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Rounding up the package is Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 BE1775s and Bluetooth 5.4. You also get Windows 11 Home on board, as well as an XBOX Game Pass subscription out of the box.
The analog joysticks are carbon-film, while the L2 and R2 triggers are hall-effect, which support racing games, flight simulators, and other games that require greater range and pressure variation. The power button also houses a fingerprint sensor.
Acer is also making its PredatorSense app, popular on its Predator gaming laptops, available on the handheld. The app provides players with live system monitoring, performance mode activation, RGB lighting customization, and access to gameplay settings. A dedicated PredatorSense button.
Acer Predator Atlas 8 pricing and availability
The Predator Atlas 8 will be available in North America, EMEA, and Australia from October 2026. Acer hasn’t announced pricing yet, though. Given the volatility in the RAM prices and the long wait for availability, we’re not surprised if Acer reveals prices closer to the date.
