Disney hosted its upfront presentation on Tuesday afternoon, and the entertainment giant brought out a who’s who of some of its biggest network and studio stars. During a Marvel segment with Robert Downey Jr., Tom Hiddleston and Bettany that celebrated the MCU, Bettany shared the release date for VisionQuest. The TV series will arrive on Disney Plus on Oct. 14.
“VisionQuest is the conclusion of the WandaVision trilogy,” said Bettany. “It’s a deeply personal story about identity, purpose, and what it means to be a human, but with robots and lasers.”
A preview clip showed the once-dead hero resurrected, but he doesn’t feel quite like the old Vision. “I have his memories, but not his feelings. I have his face, but not his virtue,” he said. James Spader stars alongside Bettany as Ultron in a story that will close out this chapter of the android’s story.
WandaVision launched a post-Avengers version of the love story between Vision and Wanda Maximoff — aka Scarlet Witch — with connective plotlines woven into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and fellow Disney Plus series, Agatha All Along.
