If Spotify is already your go-to music streaming service when you work out, you’ll now have more fitness content to explore. On Monday, Spotify announced it’s partnering with Peloton to offer video content from top trainers and classes, as well as curated playlists and content from popular wellness creators.

Spotify already has workout playlists, but this update allows users to use the streaming service as a workout hub.

“By bringing thousands of creators and partners like Peloton directly into our video and audio ecosystem, we are investing in a future where Spotify isn’t just where you spend your time — it’s where you go to build momentum, improve your wellbeing and get more out of every day,” Roman Wasenmüller, Spotify’s vice president and global head of podcasts, said in a press release.

To access the genre, type “fitness” into the search bar in the Spotify app. Free and Premium users will have access to the new playlists and workout content offered by wellness creators such as Pilates Body by Raven, Sophiereidfit, Chloe Ting Home Workouts and many more.

Spotify lets any fitness creator to publish their content through Spotify for Creators and join the Spotify Partner Program.

Premium members will have access to Peloton’s thousands of ad-free on-demand classes taught by popular Peloton instructors. These workouts will be streamed in English, Spanish and German. Premium users will also be able to access these workouts offline after downloading them.

According to Spotify, over 70% of members already use the streaming service during their workouts. The company said it noticed demand in the fitness category, driven by requests made through its AI-powered Prompted Playlist generator, which allows users to personalize a playlist based on their current mood and needs.

The new fitness category will allow users to stream workouts interchangeably on their phones, TV or smart speakers, depending on their preference.
