Recently, prominent tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that Samsung is testing its Privacy Display feature for the rumored Galaxy S27 Pro. Now, the tipster says that a similar hardware-level privacy screen feature will be offered on the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro series.

According to the tipster, Xiaomi is testing a new 2K display for an upcoming Pro series that incorporates privacy display technology similar to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The tipster adds that the display combines both hardware and software-based privacy features to help protect on-screen content from onlookers.

While the tipster did not explicitly mention the Xiaomi 18 Pro series, comments in the Weibo thread suggest that Digital Chat Station was referring to the upcoming flagship lineup. The tipster also reiterates that the lineup will be unveiled in September.

As per rumors, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipsets. The Pro is said to get a 6.3-inch display and a 7,000mAh or larger battery. On the other hand, the 18 Pro Max is tipped to come with a 6.9-inch display. Both phones are also rumored to feature dual 200MP rear cameras.
