Oura recently released the Oura Ring 5, which is the thinnest of its smart rings yet. If you’re not willing to spend almost $500 on the latest ring, there’s a great deal happening right now on the previous model. The Oura Ring 4 is on sale during Amazon Prime Day for over $100 off, depending on which color option you buy. Select finishes (black, silver and brushed silver) are down to only $232 (over $100 less than their $349 retail price). Premium finishes like gold and metallic rose gold are discounted too.
The Oura Ring is one of my favorite smart rings, and the only one I’ve found to be the best at tracking health metrics and sleep. The app is easy to navigate because everything is clearly laid out in the interface. I previously relied on it when I was trying to establish a sleep schedule after I had my son, and when comparing our sleep scores. It can be helpful to use a tracker such as the Oura Ring to better understand your sleep habits and where they could use improvement.
The Oura Ring 4 is similar to the latest version, but the Gen 5 is slightly slimmer. They share a lot of the same software upgrades though, which is a key part of owning an Oura Ring. Some updates you can enjoy are:
- Live activity tracking: Your workout data will be recorded in real time while you’re on the move.
- Blood pressure signals: It can monitor your blood pressure but not measure it.
- Health radar: Health insights that look at your health patterns and take into account blood pressure signals and nighttime breathing insights.
- GLP-1 support: Tracking features for members who are on GLP-1 medication.
- Lab results import: You’ll be able to share lab work data and blood biomarkers on the Oura app.
- Data erasure control: A new privacy feature that lets you delete data within a specific window without losing your long-term trend history.
- Ring and case finder: The case functions like a GPS tracker and helps you locate your ring and charging case.
Your Oura membership also remains the same and will still cost $5.99 per month or $69.99 per year. If you’ve been eyeing this smart ring, now is the time to snag one–even if it’s the previous model.
