Today, AT&T announced Unlimited Day Pass, a new daily plan for iPads with cellular connectivity. It’s a no-contract, no-subscription affair – you just pay for a daily pass each day you need it.

You get unlimited data for $3 per day. Your first day pass is free courtesy of AT&T (only one per customer). This works by using the eSIM functionality on your cellular-capable iPad.

To use Unlimited Day Pass on your iPad with cellular connectivity and eSIM, just go to Settings > Cellular Data, and select the AT&T Unlimited Day Pass. No app or Wi-Fi connection is required.

The carrier promises that Unlimited Day Pass “will continue to evolve to reach more customers on other 5G enabled wireless devices while delivering an even simpler, more seamless, on-demand connectivity experience in the near future”.
