If you’ve found yourself stuck doomscrolling YouTube Shorts, there’s now a way to turn off the feature entirely on mobile. The new option is rolling out to YouTube mobile users on both iOS and Android.

The feature builds on YouTube mobile’s existing time management feature, which allows users to set limits on their Shorts consumption. With the latest update, a new 0-minutes option has been added to the Shorts Feed limit timer.

Previously, the minimum limit was capped at 15 minutes. The addition of the 0-minutes option effectively lets users disable Shorts entirely on mobile.

You can access the Shorts Feed limit timer in the Time management section in the YouTube app’s Settings. Once activated, tapping on the Shorts tab will display a ‘time limit reached’ message, preventing further access to the feed.
